I AM WORKING ON the following projects:
• a new piece, entitled as night descends, the waters beckon, for the Ancia Saxophone Quartet. In 2009, I was composer-in-residence at the Tofte Lake Center in Ely, MN, up near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The project is being funded by the McKnight Visiting Composer Residency program and the Jerome Composers Commissioning Program.

• a new piece for khaen scholar Christoper Adler, for khaen and electronics.

• the sonict duo, with saxophonist Matt Sintchak which features works with saxophone, video, and electronic performer. Recent performances include Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center (Buffalo), The Stone, Eastman School of Music, Third Practice Festival (3P), Kansas City Art Institute, La Esquina (Kansas City), The Project Lodge, Iowa State University, SEAMUS National Conference.

• improvisations with sleep walks, an audio-visual show that airs weekly on WYOU-Madison, channel 991. This project includes audio created by Eric Sheffield and me, along with video created by Heidi. E. Johnson, Eric Allin, and sometimes other guests.

• April 16, 2010 performance of as night descends, the waters beckon by the Ancia Saxophone Quartet, at The Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota.

• April 10, 2010 performance of dissipation of a thought by Due East, at the SEAMUS National Conference in St. Cloud, MN.

• March 29, 2010 performance of as night descends, the waters beckon by the Ancia Saxophone Quartet, at UW-Whiteater.

• March 27, 2010 performance of dissipation of a thought by Due East, at Issue Project Room (NYC) as par of the NYCEMF.

• February 20, 2010 performance of Trio by the NODUS ensemble at Florida International University, selected as part of the New Music Miami ISCM Festival.

• February 17, 2010 performance by my group, The Sonict Duo, at The Project Lodge, as part of the Surrounded by Reality Improvisation series.

• February 4, 2010 performance of Aluminum Leaves by Trevor Saint and Shane Artz, at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks New Music Festival.

• February 1, 2010 performance by my group, The Sonict Duo, at St. Cloud State University, including lots of new work created by the duo.

• November 14, 2009 performance of window: a vision in multiple stages by Andrea Cheeseman, at the Electroacoustic Juke Joint in Cleveland, MS.
I'll be performing improv the night before at Po' Monkeys as well.

• November 1/2/3/5, 2009 performances of the well of echoes by the The Ant's Elbow Duo project (Michael Straus and Griffin Campbell) at LSU, Southeastern Louisiana University, the Blue Nile, and Nicholls State University.
